This site enables you to submit an electronic application for graduate study at the University at Buffalo. For you to do so, we will first need some basic information in order to establish a unique user name and personal identification number (PIN) for you.
If you are an international applicant (not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the U.S.), click in the box labeled “Check if you are NOT a permanent resident or citizen of the U.S.”;
Next, click on the Review Application Form button. You will then be able to examine the application form and receive your assigned user name and PIN. Once your user name and PIN are established you can save a partially completed application and return to edit and/or complete it as often as you like and at any time.
Please note, all students whose ultimate goal is to complete the Ph.D. should apply directly to the Ph.D. program. The Ph.D. degree is independent of the M.A. degree. In other words, students are not required to have an M.A. prior to their admission to the Ph.D. program.

If you have previously submitted an application through this site and you would like to re-apply to the same Degree Program for a different semester or apply to another Degree Program, most or all of the information you provided on your original application can be copied into your new application form.
